Insights into Doug

I have played guitar since 1968. With over forty years of experience and learning I mix classical music with a slight jazz tint, Flamenco styles, and Middle Eastern music, plus a few blues tunes. It is quite beautiful. I have performed in Germany, Michigan, Texas, and California. Currently I live in San Diego but I was the House Musician for “Louie’s 106” in Austin Texas, the restaurant where the powerful and rich meant. Once I played for Michael Dell and his wife (Dell Computers) at a private birthday party, for Samsung when they had a celebration ground breaking party for a chip plant in Round Rock Texas. In San Diego I have played at Azul’s in La Jolla and at Monica’s at the Park in University Heights. Additionally I have performed many
concerts as well as twice being at the Wholebeing
Weekend in Idyllwild California.

My favorite musical sound is Spanish guitar mixed
Middle Eastern modes. I combine a couple of
double Harmonic scales I really love with Harmonic
Minor, occasionally the Major Scale for it’s
brightness, to form the most beautiful sound, next to
the voice of God, that I have heard.

I have four CD’s I have released with samples and downloads you like, or the ability to order the CD physically if you would prefer that.

I have played publicly for many years and am available for your event. Restaurants, private parties, weddings, I even played a divorce party once.
